The ESAB Ruffian EMP 270G is a 270 amp portable gasoline engine driven multi-process welder and 11,000 watt AC generator. The Ruffian 270G is capable of performing Stick, MIG and DC TIG welding. Its large 7-inch color TFT display and intuitive user interface make this welder a breeze to set up and operate. Output settings, weld processes, material thickness and electrode types are shown in high-contrast graphics that are visible from far away. The maintenance screen clearly displays life cycle status of critical engine wear items including: engine oil, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter and oil filter. Ruffian’s two cylinder air-cooled 23.5 HP Kohler® CH730 engine is the industry standard for performance and reliability.

The Ruffian’s 270 amps of welding output and peak 11,000 watts of AC auxiliary power can be used simultaneously, without sacrificing welder or generator power. The inverter design of the welder produces a smooth, stable welding arc over a wide range of welding processes. Arc Force Control ensures reliable arc starts, even when using E6010 and E7018 welding electrodes. The AC generator features four 20 amp, GFCI duplex receptacles, one 50 amp 240 volt receptacle and one 50 amp 120/240 volt hybrid receptacle. Generator power can be used for tools, lights and even for powering welders and plasma cutters. The Ruffian ES 270G comes complete with an eleven gallon fuel tank, 7-inch TFT digital display and ESAB’s 3-year warranty.
